Major Update Datacenter Movahost

As part of our continuous commitment to provide better services and better hosting experience to our valued clients, Movahost will be carrying out a major server upgrade and maintenance as scheduled bellow:

• 1. 6th July 2021 ( 12.30 am - 5.00 am GMT +8 )
• 2. 7th July 2021 ( 12.30 am - 5.00 am GMT +8 )
• 3. 8th July 2021, ( 12.30 am - 5.00 am GMT +8 )

Reasons of major server update

1. Server specification upgrade.
2. Server maintenance’s management upgrade.
3. Improve server security with 1gbps DDoS mitigation hardware.
4. Expansion of IP range /28 to /24.

Who will be affected?

All Movahost web hosting (shared) and dedicated cloud hosting clients will be affected by this major maintenance.

When will this happen?

The exercise will be update major update at Equinix Datacentre, Singapore & AWS Datacentre, Singapore. Separate announcements will be sent out to keep our valued clients informed with the detailed information, such as the actual date and time of migration.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To receive the latest updates from us, during major update, please communicate us trough Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger or Live Chat

What will happen during this major update?

1. A downtime is to be expected during the major update exercise. Please be assured that we will keep you informed of the major update exercise BEFORE, and AFTER the major update.
2. Due to upgrading of IP range from /28 to /24. Shared IP will change, after the completion of this major update.

What you need to do after major update? **Important**

1. For user who use Cloudflare or custom DNS, please change to our new IP address
2. Update configuration IP from old IP to new IP (for user who use wixx , easystore, shopify & etc)
3. We will update PHP version, if user have a problem for this update PHP version, kindly raise a ticket to us.
4. User who use default DNS Nameserver, just stick with it.
